Savannah Guthrie Biography

Savannah Guthrie is a famous American attorney, news anchor, television personality, and broadcast journalist. She is currently the co-anchor of NBC News morning show, Today. She has held the anchor position since 2012 July. She joined the NBC News network in 2007 as a correspondent as well as their legal analyst.

Guthrie made a big decision while still at work to go back to school after several years as a broadcast journalist. Her decision ended up paying off as she earned a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center, where she graduated magna cum laude in 2002. She is a member of the District of Columbia and Arizona bars, having passed the Arizona Bar Exam first. She was also a member of the Order of the Coif and was awarded the Student Advocacy Award from the International Academy of Trial Lawyers for her work with domestic abuse victims.

In addition to her journalism track record, Guthrie is also a very talented writer and is the author of two famous children’s books namely, Princesses Wear Pants and Princesses Save the World. In 2018, she competed in an exhibition tennis match against Roger Federer and Bill Gates alongside her colleague Jack Sock. Savannah and Jack were defeated by a final score of 3–6. 

Later on 2021, Guthrie landed a job as the interim guest host on Jeopardy! after the passing of its former host, Alex Trebek. She appeared on episodes from June 14 to June 25th.
